Role ceramidů v kůži

Nejdůležitější funkcí kůže je chránit organizmus vůči chemickému i mechanickému poškození. Za bariérovou funkci kůže jsou zodpovědné především ceramidy, tvořící hlavní součást mezibuněčných lipidových lamel v nejsvrchnější vrstvě kůže, stratum corneum (SC). V tomto článku popisujeme stavbu kožní bariéry, vznik a složení ceramidových lamel, dále některá onemocnění a stavy spojené s nedostatkem ceramidů v kůži.
