Xenobiotika jako alternativa hormonální substituce u žen v klimakteriu

Fytoestrogeny (FE) jsou přirozené aktivní látky obsažené v rostlinách, u vyšších živočichů a u člověka jsou charakterizovány afinitou k estrogennímu receptoru (ER). Chemickou strukturou jsou fytoestrogeny vzdálené estrogenům, společným rysem je fenolové jádro v molekule, které umožňuje vazbu na ER s následnou metabolickou aktivitou a vylučováním podobně jako endogenní estrogeny. Nejznámější skupinou fytoestrogenů jsou izoflavony, kumestany, flavony, lignany a další, liší se svými estrogenními vlastnostmi. Rizika HST u žen v klimakteriu jsou prokazatelná, FE vytváří možnosti alternativní léčby u žen, které estrogeny nemohou užívat.
