Pharmacotherapy in reproductive medicine

Approximately 15–20 % couples have problems with fertility. In the Czech Republic, more than 3 % of children are born after assisted

reproduction techniques. Clomifen citrate is the basic substance for ovarian stimulation. Protocols with follicle stimulation hormone

(FSH) and gonadoliberine (GnRH) analogues are used for assisted reproduction techniques (ART). Human chorionic gonadotropine

(hCG) is used for eggs maturation. Progesteron is used for endometrium transformation and luteal phase support. Careful monitoring

of ovarian stimulation decreases risk of possible complications.
