Urinary incontinence in elderly patients is one of the most frequent medical problems. Based on statistics it is more frequent than
cardiovascular disorders, osteoporosis and malignant diseases. Around 10–40 % of elderly population is afflicted with this problem. It
fundamentally affects the quality of the patient’s life. Urinary incontinence in elderly age is multidisciplinary challenge. The successful
treatment depends on the cooperation of the urologist with geriatrist, gynaecologist, physiotherapist, nurse and especially family.
