Chronic daily headache (CDH) represents a heterogenous group including both primary and secondary headaches resulting from various
organic causes. Primary CDH results from chronification of migraine, tension headache or cluster headache. It is often associated with
overuse of analgetics or other acute medications, or with depression and anxiety. Treatment depends on the underlying type of headache
and present complications. Serious conditions require hospitalization.
