Extemporaneously prepared pediatric dosage forms, part II - oral liquids and suspensions

The extemporaneously prepared pediatric oral liquid dosage forms particularly include aqueous solutions and suspensions. A guarrantee

of their stability, the precise dosing, and the appropriate taste are the basic requirements. The choice of pharmaceutical excipients is

limited due to their safety for pediatric patients. This review summarizes the excipients suitable in a formulation of the extemporaneously

prepared pediatric oral liquids.
