Treatment of pain with over-the-counter medications

In the treatment of pain, pharmacies are often the place of first contact between a patient and a healthcare professional. The choice of overthe-

counter analgesics is not so wide in terms of active ingredients; however, it is very confusing as to the number of products in the market.

In spite of this fact, the patient can be offered several solutions. Medicinal products are available in a wide range of dosage forms.
