Religious motifs and symbols represent a very interesting area of study in pharmaceutical historiography. Unfortunately, confessional
issues permeating pharmacy and its subdisciplines and/or the role of a pharmacist and pharmaceutical assistant in searching, discovering,
preparing, and giving out medicines still remain out of the main focus. However, it is generally known that, even today, faith in recovery
or in the healing power of plants as well as proper verbal suggestion accompanying dispensing and administration of medicines play
a very important role in the lives of patients and therapists.
