Farmaceutical care of patients with depression

Depression is one of most commonly occuring mental illnesses in adults and it´s the most common psychiatric illness which couses

significant morbidity and mortality. Antidepressants therapy is the cornerstone of treatment depressive disorders. Safe and effective

use of antidepressants is in uderstanding of pharmacology antidepressants, in monitoring of adverse drug reactions these drugs, in

understanding drug interactions of antidepressive drugs. Pharmacist are the people, who can play significant role in screening, recognition

and treatment of this disorder. Pharmacists can improve patients adherency to pharmacotherapy through patients ducation.
