Basiscreme DAC − a novel cream basis for extemporaneous preparation, part 2

The second part of the article on Basiscreme DAC (Cremor basalis DAC) cream basis deals with the options of use in extemporaneous formulation

in terms of the requirements of Czech prescription. Major attention is paid to topical corticosteroids. Also presented is a comparison with the

other hydrocream bases, the properties of which often restrict a more versatile use. Emphasis is also placed on formulations in which there

is improper mixing of proprietary medicinal products and where more rational alternatives using active pharmaceutical ingredients are available.
