Vitamin D is one of the lipophil vitamins, which one is necessary for correct structure and function of the skeleton. The lowered saturation

of vitamin D plays an important role in immunity disorders, cardiovascular diseases and oncological too. Reduced level of vitamin

D is an important risk factor of fall and fracture at older patient. On this hazard takes part osteoporosis and decrease of function and

quantity muscular masses, so called sarcopenia. Sufficient supplementaton of vitamin D is one of the pharmacological goals in care of

patient with frailty syndrome. One of the most important factor makes possible this reversibility is the vitamin D and its long term low

serum level in older age. Therapy of this deficiency is available and essential too.
