This case report presents a patient with hyperuricemia and gouty tophi on her hands. This patient is also allergic to usual urate-lowering
therapy. Clinical pharmacist’s interventions (hydration, forced diuresis, support of glomerular filtration rate) are discussed. More options
of urate-lowering therapy, other than allopurinol and febuxostat, are described.
