Echinacea sp. - obsahové látky a léčebné využití

Echinaceové přípravky patří k nejoblíbenějším a nejlépe prodávaným přípravkům z léčivých rostlin. Obsahují šťávu vylisovanou z nadzemích částí Echinacea purpurea (obsaženy jsou hlavně polysacharidy) nebo etanolový extrakt či tinkturu z kořenů E. purpurea, E. angustifolia nebo E. pallida (obsaženy zejména isobutylamidy a deriváty kyseliny kávové). Jsou doporučovány k posílení imunity organizmu, k prevenci a léčbě bakteriálních a virových onemocnění horních cest dýchacích. Zevně podporují hojení ran a mírní stavy spojené s kožními záněty. Účinek byl studován v mnoha farmakologických in vitro testech a prokázán i v klinických zkouškách. In vitro a in vivo studie ukazují, že efekt je dosažen stimulováním imunitní odpovědi. Na účinku se podílejí všechny skupiny obsahových látek – isobutylamidy, deriváty kyseliny kávové a polysacharidy. Užívání je bezpečné, z vedlejších účinků se vzácně vyskytla alergie, interakce s léky nebyla v literatuře popsána.
