Zelený čaj - zdroj cenných látek pro využití v terapii

Zelený čaj je součástí čínské a japonské kultury a životního stylu. Značnému zájmu jak spotřebitelů, tak i výzkumníků se těší i v jiných částech světa. Vliv zeleného čaje na zdraví člověka je podpořen výsledky několika epidemiologických studií a velkým počtem experimentů in vitro a na laboratorních zvířatech. Hlavním nositelem účinku je epigalokatechin galát (EGCG) díky jeho významné antioxidační aktivitě. Epidemiologickými studiemi bylo zaznamenáno příznivé působení zejména při kardiovaskulárním onemocnění.
