Banisterie opojná - neblahý pozdrav z Amazonie

Článek se zabývá fenoménem „Ayahuasca“ – halucinogenním jihoamerickým tradičním přípravkem získaným z liány Banisteriopsis caapi a některých dalších doplňujících přísad. Psychotropní efekt je vysvětlován na základě obsahu tryptaminů a β-karbolinových idolových alkaloidů a jejich inhibičního efektu na MAO. Jsou uvedeny symptomy intoxikace, kvantitativní analýza alkaloidů v droze i vztah psychotropního účinku k dávce. Je uveden případ fatální akutní intoxikace zveřejněný v odborném tisku.
