Recurrent herpes simplex infection is not among the most serious infections; however, it is particularly troublesome in terms of social
and aesthetic aspects. Since the herpes virus cannot be eliminated from an already infected organism, the treatment of recurrent herpes
simplex infection has to focus on facilitating the symptoms and alleviation of associated symptoms. Compresses, pastes, antiseptic
agents, antiviral drugs, biostimulation lasers and other methods may be used in the treatment. The COMPEED® hydrocolloid patch is
a new product for the healing of small wounds.
