Care of a patient with atopic dermatitis - supplementation of the ČLnK guideline

The present article complements the Czech Chamber of Pharmacists (ČLnK) Guideline on atopic dermatitis published previously (1) and

presents more detailed information, particularly on emollients that are the mainstay of treatment and are often used as part of self-treatment.

Also mentioned are the principles of therapeutic action of individual therapeutic groups as well as practical advice on how to

correctly apply particular agents. Emphasis is placed on suitable and safe handling of local corticosteroids. Also included are materials

of an educational nature that acquaint the patient with the manifestations of atopic dermatitis and the options of lifestyle measures.
