Nutrition of patients was long overlooked and underestimated field of medicine. It has been clearly shown that malnutrion is an independent
risk factor for improving patient morbidity, prolongs existing hospitalization, increases mortality and economically increases
the cost of treatment. Now there are available many products on the market intened for enteral nutriton that can, if properly indicated,
significantly improve patient´s nutrition state, increase his quality of life and help recovering during hospitalisation. The aim of this article
is to give a basic overview of products that are available on the czech market and to give instructions to their proper use.
