Andrology as a specialized part of urology deals with male sexual disorders, infertility and some diseases of male genitalia. It is an interdisciplinar medical specialization based on endocrinological, surgical, pharmacological as well as physical approaches and methods of the treatment. In this era, some new medicaments broaden the field of pharmacological agents used in andrology. These include new phophodiesterase – 5 inhibitors for erectile dysfunction treatment, selective serotonine re-uptake inhibitor for the treatment of preamture ejaculation and collagenase Clostridium histolyticum approved for the treatment of Peyronie’s disease.

Targeted therapy in treatment of blood cancer

Hematologic malignancies represent a broad spectrum of tumor diseases affecting the bone marrow (leukemia) and lymph nodes (lymphomas). In the treatment a number of procedures are applied, which can also be combined. In low-risk patients at the beginning of treatment, only observation or supportive therapy are sufficient; in advanced and acute stages patients have to undergo allogeneic stem cell transplantation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or targeted therapy. Current view on skin photoprotection

Skin photoprotection is a complex of protective measures preventing unwanted and harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation on skin. It consists of behavioral precautions, avoidance of midday sun, wearing of photoprotective clothing and aplication of sunscreens. Special attention is needed in protection of children and immunosupressed patients. Very controversial is vitamin D – its role in human body, optimal serum level and its partial dependance on exposition to ultraviolet radiation. Patients‘ education ensured by theirs dermatologists and by public health campaigns is crucial in effective primary prevention of skin cancer.

The small injuries are among the wounds that occur during common work at home, at work, during sports or recreational activities. Some do not need usually expert medical treatment. Current therapeutic dressings offer a special range of materials, which will reduce complications and can accelerate healing. The choice of individual therapeutic dressings can adapt to the requirements based on the type of wound and the conditions in which they are injured. The nets with antiseptic materials are the basic agents in the treatment of acute wounds.
