Oropharyngeal candidiasis is a typical opportunistic infection of the oral mucous membrane and the pharynx, most commonly caused by the yeast Candida albicans. Being manifested only rarely in healthy adults, the condition is much more common in infants and young children, the elderly, and, in particular, immunocompromised patients. The article presents the basic types of the disease and provides an overview of the medications used. Based on international guidelines, attention is paid to the management strategies in children and adults with no serious disorder of the immune system.

The inhaled route is the first line administration method in the management of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and overlap asthma and COPD syndrome (ACOS). Inhaled administration drugs directly into the airways, produced higher local concentrations with significantly less risk of systemic side effects and rapid onset reliever medication, then oral route. Inhaled medications are available in different devices with differ characteristics and with differ inhaler technique. Sufficient levels of micronutrients, including vitamins, are essential for the proper functioning of the body. Recommended daily doses serve as a guide to determine a sufficient amount of micronutrients and to possibly prescribe supplementation. Do children only need good food or do they need to regularly take vitamin supplements? According to advertisements, there is no other way but to take vitamin supplements. However, professional recommendations are more sober and prefer a healthy diet as a source of vitamins.

to lower limb amputation The case report presents an example of intervention by a clinical pharmacist in a female patient after lower limb amputation for gangrene. The patient was intervened for the treatment of pain and depression. Medications of choice (venlafaxine) were recommended instead of those that are not among the medications of choice. Following the intervention, there was an improvement in the patient's condition, with the pain going away and her mental status getting better. The intervention also resulted in saving a certain amount of medication costs.
